Accordingly, the erstwhile Junior Teacher Training Institute (JTTI) Mokokchung has been upgraded to District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) with formal inauguration by the then Hon\u2019ble Minister for School Education Mr.Chuba Chang on 30<sup>th<\/sup> April 1998.<\/p>\n<p>Ideally located in Yimyu Ward, about 5kms away from the main town, DIET Mokokchung comprises of two blocks; an administrative block and an academic block. The institution also houses separate men and women\u2019s hostels and a playground.
