Accordingly, the erstwhile Junior Teacher Training Institute (JTTI) Mokokchung has been upgraded to District Institute of and Training (DIET) with formal inauguration the then Hon\u2019ble Minister for School Mr.Chuba Chang on 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April 1998.<\/p>\n<p>Ideally located in Yimyu Ward, about 5kms away from the main town, DIET Mokokchung comprises of two blocks; an administrative block and an academic block. The institution also houses separate men and women\u2019s hostels and a playground.
