Established in the year 1998, the District Institute of and Training, Yimyu Mokokchung, is one among the 8 DIETs of Nagaland, and as designated to train teachers, it has been successfully doing so for the past 20 years.

The DIET Mokokchung not only strive to produce quality teachers imparting knowledge and skills to develop Pedagogical proficiency but also try to blend our techniques according to our cultural context, so that the trainees are able to meet the demands and standards of this multi cultural ever changing world.

We also value relationships and connections and therefore, we encourage our trainees to cultivate respectful relationship with peers, teachers and the broader community at large.

As educators, our mission is to create conducive academic environment for pleasant and better learning and for transforming trainees into better citizens.
